CONSERVATIVE EDUCATION SOCIETY

Co-ordinates Conservative supporters in Education whether professionally involved or as school governors. It meets at least once a year with the Member of Parliament.

CONSERVATIVE MEDICAL SOCIETY

Co-ordinating Conservative supporters in medicine whether professionally involved or those who serve on various bodies associated with medicine.

CONSERVATIVE POLICY FORUM

The group meets at Curzon House about four times a year and initiates discussions on current political topics. The collective thoughts being transmitted to the relevant Shadow Cabinet Minister. Some branches have their own discussion groups.

CONSERVATIVE WOMEN

The Women’s Constituency Committee is an umbrella organisation co-ordinating all the Women’s Branches. They hold lunches with guest speakers and organise social events attractive to our members. Importantly, they make their concerns known to the Southern Region Women’s Committee who in turn bring them to the attention of the Shadow Ministers responsible.

CURZON SUPPER CLUB – founded 2006

The Curzon Supper Club has been formed so that members and supporters can meet together in an informal atmosphere four times a year in one of the many Indian Restaurants in the constituency. A political speaker is invited and the Club will normally meet on a Sunday evening.

CURZON LADIES LUNCHEON CLUB - founded 1988

This ‘Club’ has an active membership and they hold six lunches, (January – March and October – December), a year at different venues throughout the constituency. The speakers are of a first class standard and cover many interesting topics.

GOVE’S PARLIAMENTARY BREAKFAST CLUB – founded 2006

This Club holds four business breakfasts normally on a Friday at different venues in the Constituency.

The Club was founded to strengthen communications between the Member of Parliament, local Councillors and the business community.

GRAPEVINE DINING CLUB – founded 2006

Grapevine is a dining Club which meets six times a year at restaurants within the constituency. A guest speaker is invited by Sarah Gove (nee Vine) who is a working journalist and is able to secure first class speakers.

MUTUAL AID TEAM

Are a group of activists co-ordinated from Curzon House who canvass in the Constituency and campaign in ‘marginal’ seats. Also, they help at Parliamentary By-elections and in local Government By-Elections.
