Surrey Heath Conservatives Burns Supper.
Surrey Heath Conservatives celebrated the Anniversary of Robert Burns at the Frimley Hall Hotel on Friday 23rd January, 2009.
140 members and guests danced away to the early hours to Scottish Country Dancing provided by the ‘Innstor Scottish Ceilidh Band’.
The opening address was given by ‘Chieftain’ Cllr Stewart Stevenson the Selkirk Grace was given by Cllr Stuart Macleod and the haggis was piped in by Cllr Colin Dougan.
Special Guest former Government Minister, Rt. Hon. Sir Malcolm Rifkind, QC MP presented the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns.
The Toast to the lasses was given by Brigadier Tweedie Brown, CBE and Colleen Stevenson gave the response.
Such was the success of the evening that the 2010 date has been booked at The Frimley Hall Hotel for Friday 22nd January, 2010.
